The Tiny Home Project started with funding by the Aboriginal Labour Force Development Circle (ALFDC) under the Youth Employment Skills Strategy (YESS) Funding Stream. The purpose of the Tiny Home project is to give unemployed youth practical hands-on experience in construction related Skilled Trades so they can pursue careers in the fields of, Electrical, and Plumbing, etc. Tiny Homes units have been built in both Saugeen and Nawash, with several more to be built in both.
The first group of youth trainees were hired October 2020. Congratulations to the trainees who have moved on with their Apprenticeships training. A career in Skilled Trades can be a rewarding and life changing experience.
